Welcome to Eastar Lighting, the LED panel light manufacturer in China

About Us

Eastar Lighting specializes in LED panel lights and other innovative lighting solutions. Our lights utilize top quality and highly efficient surface mounted diodes (SMD) to illuminate the PMMA through the use of a specially designed light guide plate, polarizer, reflector and diffuser.

Compared with conventional lighting fixtures, LED panel lights can provide better illumination conditions. They are also an energy efficient light source, which is why they are quickly establishing a reputation as the best indoor lighting solution. Today, they are used in various settings such as hospitals, commercial establishments, factories, conference rooms and residential buildings.

Construction and Illumination Quality
LED panel lights are usually made up of 7 vital parts – the LED lights, light guide plate, diffuser, reflector plate, housing, backing and the heat sink system. Light emitting diodes (LEDs) are a semiconductor light source. When switched on, the reaction of the electrons results to a release of energy in the form of photons, an effect that is called electroluminescence, which is a high-intensity light source. The light guide plate is a type of optical material; a Dot matrix design on the panel will make it possible to direct the light and create homogeneous and soft lighting. The diffuser is located at the front of the plate and is designed to make light distribution more even. The reflective panel ensures high brightness.

The parts are typically housed in a lightweight aluminum frame with a slim inner edge to prevent light leakage. The solid backing that helps tie everything together is also made of aluminum. There is excellent heat dissipation due to the slim design of the panels, so it’s not as hot, although most LED panel lights are still equipped with a heat sink as a protective measure.

Flexibility
LED panel light designs can be flexible, which is why there are various panel shapes available today. The shape can be easily customized according to customer preferences. There are also plenty of options in light color and luminescence intensity, which is handy in reducing radiation and glare.

Materials
The light guide plate is usually an acrylic panel made of PMMA (Poly Methyl methacrylate) resin, a highly durable and water resistant polymer. For LED lights that could experience extreme heat, PC (polycarbonate) sheets are used. The LED lights are typically made of aluminum, arsenide and gallium. Impurities could also be added to improve conductivity and create more free electrons to enhance brightness. LED lights typically produce white light but impurities could also be added to get the desired light color. Aluminum is also the recommended material for the frame and the solid backing.

Energy Efficiency
LED panel lights consume less energy. A 6 Watt LED bulb could produce illumination quality that is similar or even better compared to the illumination from other types of bulbs that consume twice as much energy. Note that a 6W LED light bulb consumes a tenth of the energy that a 60 watt light bulb would require, but it would still produce excellent illumination intensity. To put things into perspective, a single 39W high intensity LED panel could produce the same illumination as three 30-Watt fluorescent tubes (90W) and six 100-watt incandescent bulbs (600W).

Durability
LED bulbs also have anti-vibration features; the flexible resin body does not get easily damaged compared to the tungsten filament glass material of traditional light bulbs. The material is also adaptable to ambient temperatures. LED bulbs also have a life span of 60, 000 hours on average. Calculating for usage of 8 hours a day, which means that they could last for as long as 20 years. That figure also takes the satisfactory luminescence range into consideration because LED bulbs are not likely to burn out; it is merely the brightness that is affected. Bulb replacement is recommended when the luminescence rating is reduced by 30%, which typically suffers occurs after 60, 000 hours. Incandescent bulbs only have a life span of about 1, 500 hours and CFLs have about 6, 000 to 15, 000 hours.

Installation Methods
LED panel lights can also be classified according to the types of installation method. They could be built it, mounted, suspended or recessed. Built-in LED and Mounted panel lights are ideal for most settings, although they are most often seen in hospitals and business settings while suspended LED panel lights can be easier to install and are typically found in hotels and bars.

Environment-Friendly Features
Not only are LED panel lights energy efficient, they are also a green product on the whole. They do not contain mercury and the manufacturing process results to significantly less carbon contribution compared to the manufacture of other types of bulbs. The semiconductor light bulbs are also recyclable, and the longer life span makes it a greener choice.
